Entering the battlefied, I.. I feel trapped, but there is no way that Macduff, or anyone, is a threat to me, as the witches clearly stated that I cannot be killed by anyone born of a woman. I doubt they'd be lying.. almost all of their predictions came true! This one must as well! A young siward came forward, asking for my name.. long story short, I killed him in a battle.. he must be born of a woman. Damn, I must leave at once..
I.. I finally see him. Macduff. God, saying that name makes my skin crawl. Hah! We were fighting, and Macduff thought that he could kill me! I laughed in his face. My life is charmed, and would not be taken away by one who's of woman born.
-after fight-
.. Hello there.
This is Macduff.
I would just like to say.. Macbeth is finally slain, as I am not of woman born.
Untimely ripped from my ma's womb, you might say.
Alas, Macbeth is finally gone from this world, and my wife and kids can rest in peace, along with the other lives Macbeth has taken.

Journal Entry #7
Here at Dusinane, I insisted on having banners hung outside of the castle! I mean, Dusinane is so fortified, all my former forces will probably die of hunger or sickness before they reach me! hah! This will be a game of patience..
I.. I just heard a woman cry. I just asked Seyton, and he informed me that my wife..
she is dead.
.. she should have died hereafter.
Huh? A messenger just came running in, informing that that when he looked out at Birnam, and saw the woods beginning to move. Why.. this is beginning to be like the third prophecy.
Why, I'm already weary of the sun, but I must leave my fortress and face the army. Why, if I am to go down, I would not go down without a fight!

Journal Entry #6
Damn Macduff.. why must he still be living?! I must.. I must turn living, into lived. The only people that could help me are the three sisters..
Ah! I finally found them! They were in a cave, like they were hiding or something! Lennox, my man, stood outside the cave. As I approached them, I began to voice myself, demanding them to answer my questions! Even if the universe were to be destroyed at this instance, my questions are first priority! The witches complied (Duh, of course, it's me, Macbeth, I get what I want.) This time however, the witches told me prophecies through apparitions.. they conjured up the first apparition.. more specifically, an armed head. I still remember the exact words it said to me. - "MACBETH! MACBETH! MACBETH! beware Macduff;/Beware the thane of Fife. Dismiss me: enough." (IV, i, 77-78) Afterwards, the witches conjured up another apparition, this time.. a bloody child.. - "Be bloody, bold, and resolute; laugh to scorn/The power of man, for none of woman born/ Shall harm Macbeth." (IV, i, 85-87) There, I got confused. How could Macduff harm me then? Is he not born from a woman? Nonetheless, the third apparition appeared. Another child, crowned with a tree in his hand. I cannot remember what this child said, but only the general jist of it.. something about be only being defeated when the trees of Birnam wood moves towards my castle.
1. Beware Macduff, beware thane of Fife
2. None born of a woman shall harm Macbeth
3. Macbeth will be defeated when the trees of Birnam woods move towards his castle
Why, the first prophecy is already true! I must beware Macduff.. Just like last time.. this means the others must be true as well!
However.. I think I might've upset the witches, as I kept bugging them about Banquo's children. They decided to summon eight apparitions.. all of which resembles Banquo in some sort of form. That was the last straw. I blew up and cursed the witches, which they seemed not to care at my rage, only to dance their way out (they weren't very good BTW) and disappeared.
I called Lennox into the cave, asking if he saw the three sisters dancing (terribly) out. He saw nothing.. sigh. He then told me that Macduff has fled to England. With that, my fury enraged. In that moment, I swore that I would kill Macduff's family!

Journal Entry #5
Ahh, I just met with my lovely wife. You know, without her, I probably wouldn’t have succeeded with this plan already, and became king... ahh, the guests' have arrived! We must welcome them immediately!
-1 hour later-
I.. I just got notice from the murderers.. Fleance, Banquo's son, managed to escape.. bloody hell. At least Banquo's not here anymore.. that is best.
-After the dinner-
OMG.. that was the most horrific dinner ever.. I don't know if I was envisioning things, or what.. As soon as I got back to the dinner table, and mentioned that Banquo's sadly not here at our feast, he appeared. He as in.. BANQUO. I.. I was sure that he was dead. I was sure of it! However, he was there, almost like he was mocking me. Frantically, I reacted like any man would've - freaking out and yelling. My wife tried to calm me down, but who could've calmed down when seeing a dead man rise from the grave! It's unlikely how I was the only who saw of him though! Luckily.. Banquo's ghost disappeared.. for about like, 10 seconds. As soon as I apologized to my guests', I made a toast for the absent Banquo. There, he rose again! And I freaked out. Again. My wife immediately asks the guests' to leave. IDK why, she seems to panic fairly easily...
UGH! THIS IS BECAUSE BANQUO AND MACDUFF BOTH SUSPECTED ME. I KNOW THEY DID. WHY MUST BANQUO STILL BE HERE, EVEN WHEN HE'S DEAD? I KNOW. HE WANTS TO JOIN WITH MACDUFF TO GET RID OF ME. THAT'S IT. I MUST GET RID OF MACDUFF, AND THEREFORE, I WILL BE FREE.
ALL. HAIL. MACBETH.

Journal Entry #4
Aha! I just invited my fellow friends (including Banquo) to a banquet this evening! With Banquo travelling in the afternoon before the dinner, with fellow son Fleance, I'm sure they will be the honorable guest for tonight.. hehe.
I talked to two guys that I hired to get rid of 'certain people'.. as I'm terrified by the third prophecy that the witches stated before might come true.. no one will get between me and the throne, not even a child!
"KILL THOSE TWO, NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES, DO IT."
"Yes."
"KILL THEM ON THE RIDE BACK. DO YOU HEAR ME? DON'T LET THEM GET TOO CLOSE TO THE PALACE WHEN YOU DO SO AS WELL."
Now, those two morons have already left..
My heart beats furiously waiting for their return..

Journal Entry #3
Aha! I laugh at the previous king! What kind of King is called Duncan, why, Macbeth is a much more suitable name! King Macbeth.. I like the sound of that! Why, I gotta get used to being called that, now that Duncan has been murdered in his sleep!
However, this plan might've not been as easy as my dear wife and I have though. It seems as if some people, -Cough Macduff and Banquo Cough- has their suspicisions on the truth of Duncan's Death... No. I must keep a close eye on those two..

Journal Entry #2
Remember how I've told you about the three sisters and their three prophecies? One of them already came true... so that only leaves the one saying I will become king! How will this come about! I've told my wife about it, and she was thrilled to hear this news! But the only way we could achieve such goal is by getting rid of the current king... I shall discuss this with my wife :O
We... we did it. We came up with a plan for me to achieve the throne! My wife and I have decided to murder Duncan, the current king. There's no way people will think of me, Macbeth, Thane of Cawdor, as the murderer! Why, people will merely blame a servant or such! ITS. TIME. FOR. ME. TO. BE. KING.

OMG! My best friend, Banquo and I, defeated two separate armies! They were trying to invade us! haha, like that could happen! Oh yeah! The most bizarre thing just happened to me! I was with my bro, Banquo, and we happened to stumble onto these three girls. I think they were sisters? IDK! but these girls... they prophesied that I would be made THANE OF CAWDOR! :O They also said Banquo will have a line of Scottish kings, but he himself will not become one.. However.. they said I would eventually become King of Scotland! OMG! and the weird thing was their first prophecy came true! I became thane of cawdor! This is certainly surreal!

Who I will portray:
I would like to portray Macbeth, as Macbeth is a powerful, assertive character. He can set his mind on anything (such as to become king) and will accomplish it no matter what. It would be an intriguing role to portray myself as the 'bad' role; killing and deceiving people. I wonder what my peers & I would do to identify with Macbeth, to write a convincing journal, like Macbeth would have.

Response to the five poems
1) Which of the poems had the most meaning for you personally?
The poem which meant the most to me was "As I Grew Older" by Langston Hughes, as it states how people can get lost in the shadows while on the path to their dreams. The person in the poem encounters a wall, tall and sturdy enough to block light, engulfing the person into the shadows. This wall, tall and sturdy, stands in the path of the person and his or her dreams. I, personally, have this experience myself. My dream university is Waterloo, which I'm hoping I will get in, but standing between me and my dream are my parents. Tall enough to block the light, and definitely sturdy in their decision! However, in the poem, the person managed to use their 'dark hands' to break through the wall, shattering the darkness. This allowed her to 'break the shadow, into a thousand lights of sun' allowing them to reach their dream. For me, I must gather information and evidence about Waterloo that might convince my parents, which in turn, would become me breaking through the wall.2) What ideas or feelings seem most significant to you? Why?
An idea or feeling that is most significant to me derives from "As I grew Older" again. Never lose sight of your goal, and never let anyone tell you "you can't". This idea simply states that you should always stick to your dream, and never let anyone tell you you can't achieve it, or if it's a stupid dream. You have to prove them wrong, and to do that, you must achieve your dream. In "As I Grew Older", the person was stopped by a wall, making him lose sight of his dream. However, he managed to break the wall, which allowed the light/his dream to shine through towards him.
I chose Skyscraper by Demi Lovato, as it is a song about self empowerment, and self confidence. In the song, she mentions to "try to tear her down" but instead, she's "rising from the ground, like a skyscraper." The skyscraper is a symbol of Lovato, as she is standing tall, and over the people who have hurt her. The chorus states "You can take everything I have, You can break everything I am, like I'm made of glass, like I'm made of paper. Go on and try to tear me down, I will be rising from the ground, like a skyscraper." Lovato is stating that people have hurt her before, thinking she's weak, like glass and paper, but in turn, she will rise above into a strong structure such as a skyscraper. This relates to identity, as Lovato is finding her true identity. In the past year, she has struggled with problems such as anorexia, and self harm. With this song, comes proof that Lovato will stay strong, and grounded, no matter who tries to harm her.

Vibrating to that Iron String: Revised
To believe your own thought, to believe that what is true for you in your private heart is true for all men, -- that is genius. Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string.- Ralph Waldo Emerson
I believe that Emerson is advocating that you must think whatever you believe in, all men believe in such. This provides such confidence to one's self, that it'll boost your passion in whatever you believe in. If taken this advice, one would think that all men has the same mindset as such, and thus one's confidence in the subject is enhanced, with knowledge that others believe in what they believe in, an example of "safety in numbers", a theory of where one feels more safe with more people around them.
Through personal experiences, I have faced obstacles which led me to either use this advice, or neglect it. It was as simple as a debate in a socials classroom. Reenacting debates such as claims over land, our own team had to think of ideas which would benefit our chances of 'claiming' the land for ourselves. At the time, I was (and still partially is) a shy guy. Never really said anything in class, kept to myself. However, I had an idea which could potentially benefit our team. It was Me vs myself, if I was willing to take the chance of coming out of my comfort zone. Raising my hand, I was called upon on. After what felt like years of mumbling and stuttering, I got my point across. Others started to nod in agreement, and I felt safe, knowing that others agreed with my belief. At the end of the debate, our team had successfully claimed the land, and I felt relief, knowing I contributed to our win.
This particular example exemplifies Emerson's advice; when you believe that others believe in you, you will succeed. If you mentally believe that, physically, others will agree due to the self confidence that you inflict on others. Trust Thyself, Emerson says.
